What is a sidekick? The first character that popped into your brain might be Donkey from Shrek or the LOTR stars Sam and Frodo, but when the hero of your own story is yourself, who would be your sidekick? Well, although they get a bad rep for being the "lesser hero", a sidekick isn't just the comic relief. They're the playmaker that passes the ball to Lebron James and they're the support system for the main hero. Without them, the hero is lost.

So I ask you again, who's the sidekick in your life? It's quite possible that it's the four-legged fur ball that sleeps at the end of your bed every night and licks your face when you come home from work. That dog looks at you with so much love and support, it's tough not to imagine them as your second in command. Although they may not realize it, dogs are not only our beloved companions, but our loyal believers, emotional supporters, and best friend. In fact, your dog is the sidekick that every superhero is jealous of.
